SAVAGE TREE ARTS PROJECT is a collaborative group of professional artists and creative community members experimenting and practicing with all the muses: Theater, Music, Dance, Creative Writing and the Visual Arts.
Savage Tree seeks to find the beautiful, ugly, awful, wonderful truth in subjects that attract and repulse the Human Creature. We ask questions of our subject, our art, and ourselves, and strive to give the answers a shape and a life that have an honest, immediate meaning.
We are deeply passionate about fostering the Arts and Artists of the Atlanta community. We believe strongly that everybody is an artist, that everybody has a voice or vision to contribute to our cultural experience.
Sometimes we offer classes, or teach public workshops. When we do so, we aim to use a mixture of artistic modes of expression to free the creativity within.
We have been known to produce festivals of art and performance. When we have, we have invited artists of diverse background to create and present something based around a central theme.
We don’t have a particular home or a set schedule. We do things when we have the time, the space, the support and the people necessary. So keep your eyes peeled, who knows where we’ll pop up next.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Chances are, it was something fanciful that had nothing to do with checking in and out of a cubicle between the hours of 9 and 5.
Pablo Picasso said that art shakes off the dust of every day life. Here at Savage Tree, we seek to create those experiences and opportunities for everyday people to create something extraordinary. In February, we’re offering one-day intensives to give you a chance to reclaim your innate creativity.
